亲爱的家长/监护人:
您好！
我是查老师。很高兴能成为5勤高华班的华文老师。欢迎5勤高华班的同学在2014年与我一起步入一个崭新的学年。我会尽我所能，在课堂上带给孩子们更多更丰富的知识，激发他们的学习渴望，让他们可以浸润在美好的华文环境里。
为了更好地与您和您的孩子保持课前课后的联系，我已经设立了一个5勤班的博客,网址是：http://aitong20145di.blogspot.sg/。希望通过这个班级华文博客，您能更了解孩子上课的进度和所需完成的华文功课。同时，也希望同学能够借助这个平台，与老师及其他同学有更好的交流。
为了让学生能更有效地复习当日所学功课，我会把家庭作业更新到博客上。除此之外，为了鼓励孩子们主动学习听写，我会把听写满分孩子的照片放在博客上。在日常教学中我也会着重训练他们的口试能力，希望增强他们应用华文沟通的信心和能力。最后，我也会鼓励并推荐孩子读华文书籍，或者进行其他形式的华文活动，以提高他们的阅读能力以及对学习华文的兴趣。
在此，我衷心地希望能与您密切合作，督促学生准时交功课，提醒他们温习当日所学。我相信在教师和家长们的用心教导和关怀下，5勤高华班的学生能快乐充实地度过小五这一年，并为未来的小六打下良好的华文基础。家长们若有任何问题需要让我知道，请发电邮给我，我将会尽快与您联络。希望我们合作愉快！

Parents/Guardians,
I am the Chinese Language teacher of Class 5H Diligence. With this letter, I would like to extend my warmest
welcome to all my students in 5H Diligence to join me in embarking on a new learning journey
ahead. I will do my best to bring in a wealth of knowledge to enhance
their learning and to ignite their interest in Chinese.
To facilitate communication,
I have set up a Chinese class blog for this Class (http://aitong20145di.blogspot.sg/). It will be a platform for me to communicate
with you and your child before and after lessons, as well as to enable you to
keep track of your child’s homework for the day and his/her learning progress
in the classroom.
I will update their
homework on blog, so that your child can revise what he/she has learnt in
class. In order to encourage and motivate the children to learn spelling
(tingxie), I will also post on blog the pictures of those children who score
100 marks for their Chinese spelling (tingxie). I will also emphasize the oral
skills in my daily lessons, so as to build up the children’s confidence in communication
in Chinese. To improve their interest in Chinese and Chinese reading skills, I
will recommend suitable
Chinese books to
them as well as engage them in fun and enriching learning activities.
